Like Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn

My husband and I have been sick together today, moping about the house in our PJs, carrying wads of Kleenex around in our hands. Why, this very minute, we're snuggled under quilts in our bed, listening to the gurgle and hiss of the humidifier. Minutes ago he rubbed my achy legs and feet and I whined and vented about how I feel so worn out these days with no passion for anything in my life.

"Anything?" he asked with a child-like frowny face.

"Except for you," I tried to recover.

He laughed at my insincerity.

"Actually, darling," I said earnestly, "I have never loved you more in all my life." And that is the honest to goodness truth.

Then we kissed like Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday.

Ok, I made that last part up. But you know you loved it.

  1. Hello Mindy,
Just found your blog. And I have been listener to your music for a while now.
My girls all hop around..."Have you been to California?" And it is not about your scar...
My hubby says that the other song is too sad...
I am not sure of the title at the moment.
It is late and the little one is teething and sleeping on my chest.
    (yes while I am typing).
It is the song about life... ever had an ordinary day... etc. etc. etc.
Well, the song is staying. Because that song is so me... life is not all about rainbows and roses every day... kids that are always healthy.

Oh, well, Roman Holiday is one of my favorite movies... - loved it that you mentioned the movie.
So go ahead dream on about the kiss Peck and Hepburn... I dream all the time.
I hope you will feel a lot better soon.

In the mean time I will come back again... I became a follower here on your blog.
    And love it.
Have you been to California? Or the Netherlands? for that matter. That is where I originally am from.
    Till soon,

  4. Hey Mindy I made a song based of Anchor, it's of the electronic persuasion, but I think you'd appreciate it, it's a rough cut but I think you're very inspiring and I hope you like it.

    Thanks, Andrew

P.s. Except for the kick Drum and the bells all the sounds are your voice even the Hi-hat.
