Dear Acne

Dear Acne,

If I didn't have any manners, I would start out this letter by asking you:

"What is your freaking problem?"

But, because I don't want to anger you any more than I apparently already have, then I propose we talk this over peacefully. What is it that you are trying to tell me? I will listen. Cross my heart. Anxiously awaiting your reply.

Mindy

  1. I feel your pain. It's unfair to get gray hair and zits at the same time. Completely unfair.

  2. I personally feel that when a woman becomes a mom she should be able to trade her acne for the stretch marks she will get while pregnant with her children. Sounds like a fair trade off if you ask me.

  3. SERIOUSLY! When does it stop? I believe I have more acne than my 16 year old daughter! It's just not right!

  4. I just found (and was complaining about) a batch of gray hair... I guess I should thank my lucky stars it's not acne.

  5. acne should not be allowed if you are over 20 years old. My dad was saying that he still has acne..and he's like 50-something..he did not make me feel better.

  6. What the freak? He won't leave me alone either! Go away acne! My mom still complains about acne...and she's well into her 50s. When you find something that works, let me know Min!

  7. Hi Mindy- I'm a huge fan (of yours, not acne). Feather in the Wind album has done alot for my heart- one of my fave albums of all time in any genre. I've wanted to say THANK YOU for that for a long time.
Ask your dermatolgist about a prescription called Spironolactone- it works WONDERS!

  9. Mindy, I had a huge batch of Acne the that started a year and a half ago and went for a year. I still have scars on my face from it...I never had it growing up. Finally my dermatologist recommended Cetaphil. It's just a mild, antibacterial soap and it worked wonders. I use the antibacterial bar and I love it. Here's a link. http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=16632&catid=21189

The best part is that it is only $4 :)

  10. I used to use Proactiv, then I started using the knock off version called Acnefree. I traded up to the severe formula and I look like a normal person now! I am sooooo thankful for this stuff=)

  11. I used Proactive & although everybody (that worked on my face) said I had dry skin, It worked wonders for about 3 years. Recently it just quit me ...like I was a bad habit! I went to Ulta & the Murad lady was on the prowl. I have tried Murad before & it didn't work so I flipped her the bird (mentally). Then I listened to her speil. $145.00 later I walked out with #1 Time release Acne Cleanser, #2 Acne & wrinkle reducer & #3 Anti-aging moisterizer SPF 20. Most importantly she said Murad guarentees their stuff & If it doesnt work for me I can request an exchange for a different product & eventually a refund if none of their products would work for me. I was so fed up & figured 'what have I got to lose'. Several days into this I am really happy I gave it a try. I do believe I have found something that works for me. My chin is looking so much clearer! Hooray & good luck ......!
