A Good Day

Today is a good day.

And do you know why?

Because I am back in the studio recording the last 3 songs on my album and Matt Mayhall was available to play drums on them.

I looked around the room in the midst of all the lovely noise and announced:
"This is a beautiful moment in my life. I don't know how much more perfect this situation could be and I really feel like all the right people are playing on this record."

Then Joe said that Apple should make an iPhone app that gives affirmations and you can play it to yourself when there's no Mindy around.

Plus, everyone loves my keytar. What more could I want?

Ok, even more exciting is the fact that this video on my friend Nie Nie is now on YouTube. I was elated to have one of my songs on it. To watch the video, click here, and have a box of Kleenex on hand.

  3. Hello Mindy! Patrina from Texas here. I watched the video this morning on one of cjane's blogs- it was great!! I knew that was your song. I was trying to find it online, but to no avail. Can you please tell me the title of the song and if you recorded it on a specific album? Did you write it yourself? Its just wonderful. The rhythm (sp?), the melody, the words, everything just fits together perfectly. So excited for your new album coming out.

  5. Looks like a blast. The first person I ever saw playing a keytar live was Imogene Heap. She was awesome, so I commend you on your branching out and playing such a timeless classic of an instrument.

  12. Sorry, I don't know you but I have to comment. After I watched Nie's video I immediately started searching for your song only to find (thanks google) that Nie had given the songs title and artist directly under the video. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who went on a desperate search. Can't wait till you put it on itunes! You sell a million.

  16. Mindy, I work at Deseret Book and I was so excited to see your album listed in the distributed products section of the fall products catalog they sent out last week. So looking forward to this album as I've followed you during the process. I too would love to hear you in a nice quiet local setting. I haven't been able to get to the few local concerts you've done because of work obligations, but I did hear you at the Paul Cardall concert and I realized then how much a smaller venue would really accent your voice. Anyway, hope you are enjoying a little more free time now that the recording is done.
