I am currently engrossed in Chapter 11 of this book by my dear friend, Stephanie Nielson (aka Nie Nie of the Nie Nie Dialogues). This is her story about how she thought her life was essentially perfect. Then, after a near fatal plane crash that leaves over 85 % of her body severely scarred, she unexpectedly learns that life is more beautiful and precious than she could ever imagine.
Tonight, at the flagship Deseret Book Store, City Creek Center, Salt Lake City, Nie Nie will be releasing her book several days early exclusively in Utah. She will be signing books and I will be there doing an acoustic concert throughout the evening and signing copies of my Anchor album. 6-8 p.m. Can't wait to see you there!
She is amazing!!!!
ReplyDeleteMindy,
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing you have been to Stephanie. You are a beautiful woman and your voice is magic!!
Blessings to you,
Cathy
So I was planning on just going to Nie Nie's book signing in Orem tomorrow (since it's much closer to my home), but once I told my husband that you would be performing at the SLC book signing he really wanted to go tonight. It was cute :). So we'll be seeing you tonight! We can't wait!
ReplyDeleteCool! Thanks Kristen! See you there.
ReplyDeleteI discovered you through your immense generosity and kindness to the Nielson family during their great time of need. Your music has been such a blessing to our family, especially in the last year since our baby was born. She is your greatest fan. :)
ReplyDeleteI so love Anchor...
ReplyDeleteThis book is written by a beautiful soul. She has that trait that mostly is found in untainted children, but is so very attractive. It draws us to her. Her optimism and ability to look forward to life, unspoiled by life, it's reality, and sometimes the darkness of it. It makes us look within ourselves, sometimes in shame for all that we take for granted, for all out petty complaints. She has the courage to choose the life we dismiss as "only a fairytale". She makes it a reality, no excuses. A life where the only thing that really matters is love. An unguarded, giving, unconditional type of love. Like the one so many of us talk about, the kind of love so many of our God's teach about, but so few of us truly live. She is an inspiration. She is real, beautiful, and courageous. This book is beautifully written. The author truly shares. We get to know her soul. The pictures she so generously shares makes her even more real to the reader.
