On the Road Again

BEFORE (the start of our last road trip in Idaho).

Have you ever been trapped in a car for hours on end with half a dozen men with southern drawls? Well you should try it out sometime. Quite the life altering experience. This weekend I will visit Idaho (Rexburg on Friday, Idaho Falls on Saturday) with my southern brothers from different mothers doing songs from an album I participated on called "Trek." It's been close to a year since I last performed with these gentlemen and I think my stint as a quasi-country artist has come to an end. In other words, this is a rare opportunity. These guys always draw HOARDS of people to their shows, so act fast. They won't disappoint. For more details, visit (Anyone live in Treemonton? We'll bee there on Monday!)

AFTER (the end of our last road trip in Idaho. Oh my.)

  1. shoot, I was in Idaho *last* weekend... but I'm sure it will be a great evening. I loved seeing you perform with the guys a few years ago when "Joseph" first came out... Emma is one of my favorite songs ever!

  2. Okay, so I know it's late Saturday night and I have 9:00 a.m. church and I'm teaching YW tomorrow and I haven't prepared my lesson, I'm awful and I already know this...but get this: The lesson is on "Worthy Thoughts" and there is a super long quote from Elder Packer about worthy music and one section of it caused me to think of you. The text is from 1974. Before you were born. Uncanny. "I would counsel you to develop your talents, and if you have musical talent, think of this: There is much music yet to be created, much to be performed. Yours can be the worthy music that will be uplifting, that will spread the gospel, touch hearts, give comfort and strength to troubled minds."

And, I will be playing your "The Sum of All Grace" CD during the lesson.

    May I say...Thank you. Again.

  3. The performance in Tremonton was outstanding! I'm soooo glad that I had those tickets. Mindy you are the best! Nashville Tribute Band ya! Excellent spiritual night for me. I came out of there with the best feelings.
