Recording: Day 5, Anchor

Recording my song, "Anchor" today.

We pluck the strings inside the piano, then reverse their waveform on the computer to make them sound backwards.

I play the organ pedals with my hands.

Fiona brings comic relief throughout the long work day.
Tomorrow, I will see my own family, a.k.a., my anchor. I ache for them.

  1. Love the pics!! Hey... which Hipstamatic lens/film did you use for these shots??? I don't think I have this combo! I LOVE them! Also... is the Ooh La La De Dah song gonna be on the new album? You sound AMAZING!!

  2. Glad you could return to your anchor. I think you're right you can be anchored anywhere your family is.

I've enjoyed reading about the recording process. It's something that interests me a lot and I've always wondered how it worked. So, thank you for sharing.

  3. So, when you play your songs backwards does it say bad words?

  4. No, it doesn't say bad words, it just says "4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42."

  5. That very well may be the best response ever.
