Anchor - Official Music Video

Dear Bloggers,

You are the first to see my new music video for "Anchor." I had so much fun making this video! In fact, I actually produced it. The director, Matt Eastin, is amazing. You may have seen the videos he's done for Joshua James and the Neon Trees. And now, I'm lucky enough to have had him work on one for me. I'll be posting some more on Matt and the others who were involved (can't wait to tell you about April Meeker who did the illustrations!). For now, enjoy.

P.S. If you'd like to share this on your blog or FB, just copy and paste this link:

  10. I'd like you to know that I love this. And relate to it so much. I am also a married, lds indie singer songwriter. I live in LA and I'm about to cut my first album. Rachel Adell 'Unpainting Roses'. At any rate, I have a song written for my husband called Red Canoe. There you were in this red canoe. We ride motorcycles, I am a butterfly who's favorite color is red and I wear dresses tights and converse all the time. Plus the glasses. We also ride motorcycles. So you see, I have been crying for about the last hour because of this video. I have been in a fog lately, in terms of my relationship, and well-this song literally brought me back down while also lifting me up.
    So...from songwriter to songwriter-thank you so much for sharing your work, and especially yourself. It takes courage to be in the music business-not only as a woman, or even a married woman, but a married lds woman.
    *Still crying

  12. LOVE that you used the old piano--everything was just so nostalgic and dreamy. I sure wish we could get you to come do a show up here in Boise!

    Oh, and p.s.--the videos with CJane are hilarious. I don't know her personally, but seriously love her blog...and love you too! Your voice gets more beautiful every day, and your writing is both clever and inspiring.

  33. I came to your video via Nie, and as I watched it, my children trickled in one by one and cuddled up to watch too. Every time the song ended, my 2-year-old twin boys would shout, "Again! Song again!" We've been listening to your music on You Tube for almost an hour now. We are mesmerized! I love the whimsy of this song and video and your ethereal voice. Needless to say, you've made five new fans today! And now I'm off to buy your album, because nothing, NOTHING, calms my hyperactive twins like your music has this morning.

    I've been a huge fan ever since I heard your song "More Than The World" on the EFY soundtrack last year. My counselor sang it at one devotional and soon after I bought the songbook and now I am learning it myself.

  43. hey mindy, just wanted to tell you how fabulous your new video is. i had it playing the other night while my hubby was watching a movie in the other room. he peeked his head around the door and said "who IS this?" i told him it was you and from your new album. he told me he loved it and that i should definitely buy it!

    what you SHOULD know is my hubby's a semi-driving, mechanic who grew up on classic rock & country. so for him to be impressed by my choice in music is a big. deal.

    so i bought anchor last night, and had to blurb about it on my blog today. thank you a million times over. i love it. perfectly fits who i'm feeling like lately. needed it badly.

    ::big hugs::

    (p.s. please come to tri-cities!)
