1.) Snuggled with this little gem dandy on the couch:
2.) Turned his room into a giant chalk board and let him help.
3.) Started freaking out when he spilled a gallon of paint, but caught myself and decided to scoop him up in my arms instead. I could tell he already felt bad enough without me getting upset. Isn't that usually the case with anyone who makes a mistake?
4.) Did absolutely nothing concerning music.
5.) Went on a date with my husband.
Impressive that the paint remained on the dropcloth. Congrats for that. That never happens when I spill paint. A very successful day for you.
ReplyDeleteI find it very difficult to get angry with anyone with eyes as blue as his. My boys have the same eyes. Powerless. I was powerless.
Sounds like a grand day, and looks like Thatch has lost a tooth.
ReplyDeleteoh these are good ones! i love reading these, mindy! they make me feel empowered. (: ps. i heard that cute couch that hangs out in the carport mumbling with jealousy about these lists... (;
ReplyDeleteAt least he was considerate enough to spill it on the plastic! Your reaction was absolutely spot on. He did feel bad enough already, and you re-enforced to him that he is way more important than some dumb paint (or carpet or whatever). Way to go, Mom!
